Went to get my iPhone 3GS wrapped today at MBK.
I had always been a fan of the other shop, GMask, near PowerBuy on 4th floor. But I’ve been hearing some good reviews of the guys at Maximum, who don’t only wrap phones but also Macbooks and cameras.
And they have this matted sticker instead of the shiny one that makes the iPhone look plastically cheap.
The technique they used here is also peculiar. Instead of the usual stretching and rubbing to get the stickers into the hot corners of your gadgets, they use a lighter and kind of flash the flame onto the plastic for a split of a second then rework the sticker around the phone.
I wanted to capture this on video but then the owner said no. Don’t know whether it’s because he’s possessive of his techniques or because of the fact that his staff are all “imported” from Burma.
